Healing journeys are both personal and collaborative. Remember Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz following the yellow brick road? When she started out on her journey, she only had Toto, otherwise she was on her own. Along the way she met new and unusual people, made new friends, encountered dangers and overcame challenges; at the same time, her friends and foes, while traveling with her, were on their own journeys too. Their journeys, lessons, and tests were uniquely different. Each of the characters was able to discover what they needed to heal within themselves and heal that part of themselves. It’s a beautiful thing!

Like Dorothy, you might have to start out alone and meet new friends and teachers along the way.
